Oil Change Maintenance Service

It is easy to take this service for granted. This is actually one of the most important services you can have. Not only is it important to change the oil and filter, but the other fluids should be topped up as well. There is a wide variety of special fluids that each car manufacturer requires in their vehicles. Rest assured at IMM, we carry the necessary fluids and take the time to ensure all work is done properly.

Additionally, we perform a 52 point inspection designed to keep you as safe as possible and extend the life of your vehicle. This includes checking the condition and inflation of your spare tire as one of the items which is an often overlooked item. Not only do we check the brakes, hoses and cooling system, we also check all the external lights to keep you safe.

Factory Scheduled Maintenance

All manufacturers provide a scheduled list of services which they have designated as the minimum required to keep your warranty in force. This program is also designed to provide you with what the manufacturer considers as a reasonable lifespan for their vehicle. You may, however, wish to drive your car longer. I know I always do, so I follow a little more stringent maintenance schedule. We are happy to track all your services in our computer, and advise you as to what is due and when to do it. All the services we perform are designed to maintain your vehicle per the factory standards and keep your warranty in force.

Timing and Serpentine Belts

Timing belt replacement is one of the most important services your car may need. This belt keeps the crankshaft and camshafts in sychronized motion. When it fails, or for that matter, any of the pullies or tensioners that guide and tension it fail, this can result in serious engine damage. Most manufacturers have both a mileage interval which depends on the ambient temperature of the area, and a time interval which should not be exceeded. We track this important service for you, and will advise you as to what parts it takes to ensure a repair that will last at least until the next scheduled interval.

Air Conditioning

Air Conditioning is pretty nice to have here in the desert. This unit works by compressing a gas, running it through a condensor which then causes the gas to become liquid. This change of state causes it to release heat into the atmosphere. This liquid is then metered by a small orifice into the evaporator, which has a much lower pressure, which causes this liquid to then "boil" into a gas, which causes it to absorb heat from the inside of your car, which then causes the lower temperature in your car.

The basic components of this system are a compressor, evaporator, condensor, accumulator or receiver/drier, expansion valve or orifice tube, condensor fan, evaporator fan, along with the electronics, sensors, control unit and hoses.
